Sabah and Border Security Issues

Recently a Taiwanese man was shot dead by the terrorist and his female companion was kidnapped at gun point from the POM-POM Island which is situated outskirt of Semporna, Sabah. POM-POM Island is one of the most popular tourist destinations for Taiwanese tourists. Again, people are questioning the measures taken by the relevant authorities and enforcement agencies for the lax of security in Sabah. Malaysian Indians and MIC Election 2013

The early leaders had played a significant role in guarding the interests of Indian community. But in late 1970s the objective and purpose of this party existence has changed to serve the interests of the newly elected young leaders. The party swayed away from Indian community and allowed many factions. Many new Indian based parties are formed from party members who are not happy with  the leadership at that time. After 67 years the party had to transform and reform.  Whether the current party members, grassroots leaders and leadership will allow such changes which desperately needed to revive the confidence of the community as whole, is a answer that the community is eagerly waiting for the outcome of the 30 November MIC election. Edward Snowden and national security

FOR the past few weeks many allies of the US are furious because their leaders' phones are tapped and National Security Agency conducting surveillance programs. To understand why US is so zealous to preserve its dominance as the sole power of the world by engaging itself in spying activities, we have to revisit again the Huntington's Clash of Civilisations theory. Since 9/11, Samuel P. Huntington's Clash of Civilisations theory has become vital to analyse the pattern of global conflicts and issues involving international relations. Huntington wants the West to know the 'enemy' in order to safeguard the interests of the West on global affairs. The fear that he has can be further observed in his argument that Eastern Civilisations will collaborate and eventually go against the West in future.
